About the Artist

Raven Tekwe, a Colorado-based artist, is pretty darn happy to be tucked away in her studio for hours on end.  Raven always had a story growing up that she couldn’t draw or paint. That all changed, but not until her fifth decade on the planet. That pesky pandemic pushed her into discovering new things. Starting with acrylics, then onto colored pencil, and now pastel, it’s been a joyous, frustrating, magical discovery of how wonderful it is to get messy with art and have fun! Raven loves to fly fish and standing in rivers is just the best way to connect with nature that she can think of! Rivers, streams, and mountains are her favorite subjects. She also has a deep love for animals, including her own dog, Sally, who helps her in the studio by sleeping soundly as she “guards” the door.
